So let’s talk Denglish for Kristin on the East Coast, whose cooking and blogging talents I definetely underrated by writing only about her Valentine Meatballs for the cat-man. Just look at her Saturday post about “Salmon with creamed leeks” and you’ll see that she takes her job really serious. (I was just so happy to see something different in the US-Foodblogworld on Valentines Day between all this pink sponge cakes and Strawberry Hearts. And it remembered me on “Breakfast at Tiffany”. Do it again, Kris.)
Thanks to Ralph from the West Coast (where he was cooking leek as well on his blog on saturday – it seems to be trendy in the US), whose opinion about a real steak I share especially at the BBQ. But what is a “skirt steak”? The FNW-Article is not online yet, but I will put it on the blog next month, ok? By the way: What was your viewing habit when you liked FNW more the years ago – 28 hours a day?
And Ulrike’s complaints were understood very well – read more about that in the following post (written in a rainy period).
At last 50 form 100 points to Zorra – Carbonara is right, but it is a special kind of Carbonara and it was for a special occasion (see the black thing on the left?). Patience.

Hallo,

wer soll denn das alles lesen ! Ich kann doch nicht den ganzen Tag am PC sitzen! Jetzt scheint endlich die Sonne und die Tage werden wärmer. Ich springe von einem link zum anderen und finde überall Interssantes. Ja die Meuth/Dudenhofers, da möchte ich auch mal mitkochen, ich liebe diese Sendung und die Beiden. Spare schon fleißig, vielleicht klappt es nächstes Jahr.

Sebastian, I look forward to reading the article in Myself! I also liked your reference above to me cooking a Valentine’s dinner for my beloved cat. However, my pride must note that I do not normally cook romantic dinners for my cat–it was just a spoof on the holiday and cat obsessed people (though, to be fair, I am a little obsessed)!

Erstmal Danke, das Du mich in deinem blog so nett erwaehnst. Ich fuehle mich geehrt )
Ich hatte geschrieben, das ich geschmortes Rindfleisch einem Filet vorziehe, das stimmt sicher auch. Das heisst aber nicht, das ich keine Steaks mag, ganz im Gegenteil. Ein qualitativ gutes Ney York Strip, Rib Eye ( Market ) oder, am liebsten ein Skirt Steak, gehoert zu meinen Lieblingsgrerichten Ich bin halt nur kein Fan vom Rinderfilet, ich finde, das schmeckt ein bisschen langweilig.

Deinen Artikel zum FNW haette ich gerne gelesen, ich habe ihn nur nicht gefunden online Zu diesem Network habe ich eine zwiespaeltige Beziehung. Ich habe es fast den ganzen Tag laufen, auf dem einzigen Fernseher, den wir haben, in der Kueche Ich finde, die Qualitaet hat in den letzten Jahren immer mehr nachgelassen, zumindest fuer Kochinteressierte. Es wird immer mehr Show und Unterhaltung und ist nicht mehr, wie frueher, eher Kochschule. Und bei den celebrities wie Rachael Ray, Sarah Lee und Emeril schalte ich inzwischen ab !
